장방형 (부분적으로 요철이 있는 것도 포함)의 단면에
4면이 모두 압연 된 강재
보통 폭이 두께의 2배 이상으로, 폭의 최대는 두께에
따라 다르나 500 mm 정도임.
Plate type steel bars rolled in bar shape with rectangular cross-section,
rolled surface of all four surfaces of the cross-section, the thickness(t)
of generally 5 mm or over and the width of not more than 500 mm.
For spring steels, the opposite shorter edge of flat bars is circular
(circular arc R is about 0.5t) is called round edge of flat bars.
Hot rolled flat bar is especially called hot rolled flat bar and
cold rolled one as cold rolled flat bar.
